Back in the day when pens were almighty and and using paper didn’t mean contributing to Global Warming, I used to carry a heavy and old school journey to jot down my travels in every new country I visited. Over a year and a half ago, I decided to go electronic, partly to save some trees and partly to share with the rest of the world what I’m doing.
…And it’s been fantastic. I can add photos. My friends can comment. And I can keep an electronic record rather than lug my heavy books every time I move to a new apartment.
What is my blog about?
Anything related to travelling. And usually about the cities I live(d) in: Auckland…Paris…Los Angeles…but anything goes.
Including the most recent addition: the Bay Area. Ok it’s not a city. But it’s my new home
What about me?
I call myself a kiwi. Born and raised in New Zealand and absolutely love it there. But I’m a city girl. Life in a country where the sheep outnumber humans by 10 to 1 makes me kind of depressed (I’m not kidding about the sheep). I left 4 years ago and since have been thriving on uncertainty and making friends along the way.
Soul-searching for 6 months in Paris told me I like people and I enjoy living life, being in a classroom kind of dampens that. Who knows, might get a PhD in 10 years. But for now…
This blog is my mix of flavours I’ve seen and tasted in the world.
Voilà, welcome to my food-blog-disguised-as-a-travel-blog Wanderland.
Enjoy!
